    Real Madrid top the ranking of the highest earning clubs in the world for a tenth consecutive year according to the Football Money League report, which was published by the consultancy firm Deloitte. In the financial report, corresponding with the 2013/14 season, Real Madrid earned €549.5 million in revenue.

According to the Deloitte report, Real Madrid earned €113.8 million from matchday ticket sales. In the chapter relating to television broadcasting and the UEFA Champions League, Real Madrid brought in €204.2 million, €15.9 million more than the previous year and the club earned €231.5 million through sports marketing, €20 million more than last year.

Dan Jones, the director of the Deloitte Sports Business Group, analysed the Whites' figures: “Winning the Champions League for a tenth time and being on top of the list for a tenth straight year makes this the year of the Double Décima for Real Madrid. The club's success on the pitch is matched in terms of their finances, reinforcing their position as the most successful European club of all time”. As such, Real Madrid is the world's highest earning sports club for the tenth year running.

Deloitte point out that the top 20 European teams in terms of the biggest turnover have recorded earnings of over €6.2 billion, a 14% increase compared with last year. This group includes teams from the five countries with the most powerful leagues in Europe. England has the most representatives on the list (8), followed by Italy (4), Germany (3), Spain (3), France (1), and Turkey (1)
